At first, in the YXENDIS software range, designers can create very easily patterns (and grading) directly from scratch or from a dxf file from another pattern software and export it in the knitting motives module. This shape can also be exported to be print on a printer in order to be cut or can be exported like a knit pattern with an automatic calculation of knit fully-fashion rules for the widening or narrowing for example.

The second part is the unbelievable performing and easy to use motives module. This close partnership has opened a fantastic new area of collaboration between the pure designer and the technical designer. In the design part, lots of tools can be used to turn easily and quickly a16 millions of colors design into a dot per dot knit design and also lots of specific dot per dot knit design tools can be used for the design of geometrics, advanced stripe, text and fantastic stamp tools ... KNIT STRUCTURE: lots of others specific knit tools can also be used to apply knit structures like laces, cable stitch... These knit structures symbol can come from the Steiger libraries (MODEL) or from your own created in YX KNIT Platinium (YXENDIS). The Steiger knit structures database can be shared on a network for instantaneous easy up-to-date management and the symbols can be seen like a real knit view or like a technical view.

The final knitwear creation can be seen as a finished product (knit) for the pure designer or as a technical knit description for the technical. They can work in a rectangular panel but also directly in the cloth pattern with 2 great advantages. The first one is to be able work directly in the different shapes (front, back, sleeves...) so to be able to adjust and adapt precisely each design for each shape in order to avoid to loose time (stripes...). The second great advantage is to be able to work taking into account all the different sizes in order to have a clever design management and avoid useless later sizes adjustments. Some others functions are very useful for the technician team as for example the automatic corrections for narrowing, widening.

On the same way, final colorways choices (design and colorways) can be done by importing files from Model to YXENDIS in order to make with YX KNIT Platinium lots of coloring tests and optimisations. Creation made with YX KNIT Platinium from YXENDIS can also be exported to MODEL in order to go in sampling or production. Technical data can be print for production and technical uses.

Improvements of collections choices (design and colorways) for sales and marketing and for decreasing the sampling time and costs: the real world first 3D simulation (real size) can use not only plain yarns but also calibrated twisted, blended multicount, space yarns. This yarn software is a complementary module which can enable users to see like real the finished knitwear in order to make color changes and optimisations. Customizable prints can be done in order to show them during internal or customers collections meeting. Direct link with the “3D” mapping software enable fast mapping and test of new knitwear or colorways on pictures of models.
